Manipulation of matter controlled by electric and magnetic field (SPP 1959)

The DFG priority programme SPP 1959 "Manipulation of matter controlled by electric and magnetic field: Towards novel synthesis and processing routes of inorganic materials" is a worldwide unique, coordinated research effort funded by the DFG for a period of at least six years. The SPP 1959 was launched in September 2016 and is coordinated by Forschungszentrum Jülich (Prof. Guillon, IEK-1). In the first, current funding period from September 2016 to the end of 2019, 14 projects are investigating the influence of electromagnetic fields on the synthesis and manufacture of materials. Of these, 3 projects are taking place with the participation of Forschungszentrum Jülich. The second funding period starts at the beginning of 2020 and is expected to last until the end of 2023. Proposals can be submitted to the DFG until 26 June 2019. The second funding period will also be coordinated by Professor Guillon (IEK-1, Forschungszentrum Jülich). Das DFG-Schwerpunktprogramm SPP 1959 „Manipulation of matter controlled by electric and magnetic field: Towards novel synthesis and processing routes of inorganic materials“ ist ein weltweit einzigartige, koordinierte Forschungsanstrengung, die für den Zeitraum von mindestens sechs Jahren von der DFG gefördert wird. Das SPP1959 wurde im September 2016 gestartet und wird vom Forschungszentrum Jülich (Prof. Guillon, IEK-1) koordiniert.
In der ersten, laufenden Förderperiode von Mitte 2016 bis Ende 2019 untersuchen 14 Projekte den Einfluss Elektromagnetischer Felder auf die Synthese und Herstellung von Materialien. Davon finden 3 Projekte unter Beteiligung des Forschungszentrums Jülich statt. Die zweite Förderperiode startet Anfang 2020 und dauert voraussichtlich bis Ende 2023. Die Antragseinreichung bei der DFG kann bis zum 26. Juni 2019 erfolgen. Auch die zweite Förderperiode wird durch Professor Guillon (IEK-1, Forschungszentrum Jülich) koordiniert.
